Botox now on dentists' chair

Dentists are no longer confined to traditional means of cleaning and repairing their patients' teeth. Now, they're able to make use of two of the most popular cosmetic products in order to improve the lives of their clients, namely dermal filler treatments and Botox.

Dr. Michael Skadron of West River Dental Care shares that "as a dentist, I'm very well-trained in the musculature and anatomy of the face and I feel no other doctor can give an injection better than a qualified and experienced dentist," adding that the Botox and Juvederm treatments were "a marvelous fit."

Skadron adds that the entire economy also helped in increasing the number of customers looking to avail treatment. He explains that he has "had patients who are looking for a new career, so they want their teeth cleaned and their wrinkles removed." The drug is slowly gaining ground from simply being treatment for temporomandibular joint to being used in aesthetic dentistry.
